In Kenya’s Nyanza province, EngenderHealth and our partners are working to improve and expand sustainable HIV and tuberculosis prevention, treatment, care and support services, along with integrated reproductive health, safe motherhood, family planning, malaria, and selected child survival services. The project, know as APHIA II Nyanza (AIDS, Population, and Health Integrated Assistance) is funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). It brings together five internationally recognized organizations under the leadership of EngenderHealth: AED, CHAK, I-TECH, IDCCS and PATH. The Project supports Kenya's Ministry of Health, as well as faith-based and community-based organizations and coordinates with other agencies working in the province, such as the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, to reach its goal to reduce the risk of HIV transmission and the fertility rate in Nyanza by
